1. About NorthStar

NorthStar HUD is an independently developed third-party plug-in for Even Hub and supported Even Realities devices. NorthStar is not developed, operated, sponsored, or endorsed by Even Realities. Your use of Even Realities products, the Even app, and Even Hub remains subject to Even Realities' own terms and policies.

2. License and permitted use

Subject to these Terms and applicable platform rules, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use NorthStar for its intended purposes.

You may not use NorthStar to violate law, interfere with the Even Hub platform or other systems, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, abuse the feedback service, or infringe another person's rights.

3. Features and availability

NorthStar may provide time/date display, weather, G2 status, notes, reminders, timers, stopwatch functions, accessibility controls, and other features. Features may be added, changed, suspended, limited, or removed as the plug-in evolves.

Some functions depend on the Even app, compatible Even Realities hardware, network connectivity, permissions, device/firmware behavior, or third-party services. Continuous availability is not guaranteed.

4. Weather information

Weather information is supplied using third-party data/services, currently including Open-Meteo. Forecasts and current conditions may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate. NorthStar weather is for general informational use only and must not be relied on for emergency, aviation, marine, severe-weather safety, or other safety-critical decisions.

5. Notes, reminders, timers, and alerts

NorthStar's notes, reminders, timers, stopwatch, and related display features are convenience tools. Device disconnection, operating-system behavior, battery state, app suspension, networking, firmware, or software defects may prevent information from appearing or reminders/timers from behaving as expected. Maintain an independent backup or alarm for important obligations.

6. Feedback

If you submit feedback, bug reports, feature requests, or widget requests, you grant the NorthStar developer permission to use the ideas and information you submit to evaluate, maintain, improve, and develop NorthStar, without an obligation to implement the suggestion or compensate you. This does not transfer ownership of content that you otherwise own.

Do not submit content you do not have the right to share, or passwords, authentication tokens, financial account data, medical records, or other highly sensitive information.

7. Privacy

NorthStar's processing of information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms for purposes of explaining NorthStar's data practices.

8. Third-party services

NorthStar may communicate with or rely on services operated by third parties, including Even Realities, Open-Meteo, Cloudflare, and GitHub. Those services are controlled by their respective providers and may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. NorthStar is not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or acts beyond the developer's control.

9. Updates and compatibility

You are responsible for maintaining compatible hardware, firmware, the Even app, and any required permissions. Updates to NorthStar or third-party platforms may change compatibility or behavior. An older version of NorthStar may stop functioning after platform or API changes.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NorthStar is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or error-free operation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the NorthStar developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, missed reminders, loss of opportunity, interruption, or damages arising from weather information or third-party service failures.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Suspension or termination

You may stop using NorthStar at any time. Access to NorthStar or particular features may be suspended or discontinued if necessary for security, legal compliance, platform requirements, abuse prevention, maintenance, or service changes.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to NorthStar, third-party services, platform requirements, or law. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page. Continuing to use NorthStar after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

14. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision. These Terms do not reduce any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer law.
